"I was blown away by the power of Michelle's voice - every song was like you were actually listening to Melissa Etheridge, but on some Michelle even outdid the original! Also impressive was the tightness of the band and the obvious care put into re-creating the original Melissa Etheridge band arrangements faithfully. NOT TO BE MISSED!"

"When you are a fan of an artist like Melissa Etheridge, you can become pretty guarded when you hear someone is planning a tribute show.

Well, throw down those guards and do yourself a favour - go and see Michelle Parsons' "Brave & Crazy" tribute. Close your eyes for the first few powerful vocal rips and Michelle will transport you to and MLE concert. What is better than that is when you open your eyes you'll see a great talent belting out Melissa's music with the same passion and commitment.

Michelle and her band are tight, they love what they do......and it shows. The tribute selections cover Melissa's career well, as we journey through emotions of love, passion, angst and recovery in a show that truly had the audience in Michelle Parsons hands.

We sang, we danced, we hugged and screamed. Do yourself a favour and experience Michelle Parsons and the "Brave & Crazy" tribute show.......... it might be your first, but it won't be your last".

"Michelle Parsons is certainly brave, but not crazy. The Corner Hotel was the venue and rock"n"roll was the nights aim. Not just anyone can belt out an Etheridge tune and pull it off, but my word Michelle Parsons journeyed through the night reaching every note with ease AND THE PLACE ROCKED !

Michelle was supported by a marvel of musicians who were also grooving the night away. Fool me for wearing my sisters sneakers cos' my big toes were squashed and exhausted by the night's end, as my body had no other choice but to dance, dance, dance. Michelle Parsons is a wonderful Australian artist whose talent should not go unnoticed. My friends and I had to have more of Michelle, so off we went to the Pride March Concert on the Sunday where we rocked again to the rhythm of M
ichelle Parsons. WooHoo!"

Extremely Brave & Way too Crazy - M. Brady (Dec 2004)

Brave and Crazy the Melbourne based Melissa Etheridge tribute band are set to rock Melbourne fresh from their recent tour of South Australia.

The 6-piece band is headed up by amazing talent of Michelle Parsons and covers a tasty morsel or two from almost every album Ms Etheridge has recorded.

The set features some oldies like “Bring Me Some Water”, “Like The Way I Do” and “Chrome Plated Heart”, a few newer tunes like “Let Me Go”, “The Angels” and “Come To My Window” and of course everything else in between. So if you’re an Etheridge fan, or even if your not, make sure you check out Brave & Crazy “It’s for you” I promise.

Nadine Suderi - Melbourne (Oct 2005)

As an avid music lover of all genres, I have ventured out on several occasions with friends to hear Michelle Parsons belt out some of the most powerful cover songs ever recorded.

Along side her uncanny ability to emulate Melissa Etheridge; her repertoire is diverse and very unpredictable. In my opinion Michelle’s vocals are in line and compare with Bonnie Tyler, Sara Mc Lachlan, Janis Joplin, K.D Lang, and of course Melissa Etheridge.

An example of Michelle Parsons’ original material ‘Uncover Me’ shows her ability to make you experience a broad range of emotion as you listen to each unique song. From rockabilly- foot-tappin’-feel-good- music- to achingly romantic lyrics with the odd controversial song referring to real life issues.

Michelle seems to make the room care free, full of life and fun but in an instant she can tune us all in to think about the universe from another angle.  Her voice is so powerful and raw yet soft and seductive at the most perfect timing of her songs.

I have never known of any other artist to take their audience on such a decadent ride in the first bracket. On one occasion- in one bracket Michelle gave us: Melissa Etheridge ‘Bring me some water’ Janis Joplin’s ‘Mercedes Benz’, Pasty Cline’s ‘Three cigarettes in an ashtray’, Tom Jones’  ‘Delilah’,  Radiohead’s ‘Creep’  Carole King’s ‘will you still love me tomorrow’ John Mellencamp’s ‘Jack and Dianne then on request one of her original songs came out with real feelings that no one could deny was nothing short of brilliant.

Michelle has an extra ordinary talent to dish out covers and originals to us at her gigs but it’s not until you research these songs that you can really admire her amazing repertoire. Far out Brussel-sprout!

Michelle Parsons has been wowing audiences on the live music scene for nearly a decade. She plays 12 string Guitar and sings a vast repertoire of covers. Her voice is so akin to that of Melissa Etheridge that crowds beg her to sing Melissa songs at every performance. In recognition of this Michelle put together "Brave and Crazy" a tribute show comprised purely of Etheridge classics.

Michelle is also a talented song-writer, releasing 12 original songs on her debut CD "Uncover Me" in 2003. "Tongue Tied" was allegedly written about a fan of another prominent Melbourne muso, who admitted to not being able to string a sentence together in the presence of her hero. "The Real Thing" is a poignant love song, whilst "Burnin'" and "Under My Skin" are amongst the gutsy rock songs, and "Mamma Said" is a catchy ode to her mother.

The list of residencies and pubs Michelle has played at is exhaustive; from The Corner Hotel, The Saloon Bar to the Clifton Hill Hotel. She has also played at practically every women's venue that ever existed, from the Glassy to the Rochy to Rascals and The Honey Club, not to mention the vast array of festivals such as Midsumma.

Onstage, Michelle is confident, energetic and polished. She enjoys herself up there, and she knows how to get the crowd rockin' too. She has group of loyal fans who love what she does. At her last Glorybox appearance, one fan admitted to having purchased a dozen copies of Michelle's CD and sent them to all her friends and relatives overseas so they could enjoy Michelle's talent to.
